Blood Screens was a window installation done at Printed Matter bookstore in New York as part of a public art project called CIRCULATION, organized by New York based artist group REPOhistory. CIRCULATION explored the subject of human blood: first literally, as a physical substance that is collected, processed, stored, distributed; second figuratively, as a metaphor for identity with a variety of social, historical, and popular beliefs. For several weeks beginning in February 2000, the project circulated artworks by over thirty artists through the mail, over the Internet, on city streets and in the subways.
